Site Deindexed 15k

One of my sites with 15k indexed pages, getting 2k UVs daily got deindexed. The site is keyword-based targeting across a few niches.

It's nowhere to be found on site:example.com query. Of course it not really be deindexed, it could be back after a week or so based on what I've been told. I'm hoping its the case but it's really unlikely.

It's a pain because this site already brought me high $x,xxx in the past but the earnings declined after old strategies and keywords died out. They could have just banned the site in AdSense but they instead killed the site's traffic. :| I put a lot of articles, targeting different keywords then made them ranked. And its making me low $xxx every month so far until it got deindexed 3 or 2 days ago.

I have a few ideas that might explain why my site got deindexed.

Just a month or two ago I made a radical approach into increasing its traffic by doing offsite SEO on a around 90% of its pages. These are the new pages from the articles I put recently.

I did a massive backlinking campaign using a few tools I found here. Pinging the new posts, and then blog lots of blog commenting. That's the only culprit that I could think of. I have another site where I put another batch of articles targeting different keywords too, with identical website WP theme and article structures... but it's still in the SERPs (although this site has been banned in Google Adsense for a few months already). The only difference is that I didn't do any pinging or backlinking on this other website.

So why am I making this thread?

1. To vent out as this really hurts me lol. And to push myself even further to work on my other ideas, which I have lots of, I procrastinate a lot but I've been working on them actually even before this deindexing happened.
2. To tell you to avoid doing anything drastic on your websites, rapid link building etc.
3. To tell you to stay whitehat on at least on your money making site/main website or if you can't just try your best to stay under the radar by doing things at minimal quantity and rate. So my approach now will be blackhat/greyhat on supporting sites and only and completely whitehat on main/money website.

The same exact thing happened to me, except at a much lower expense.
I went from being ranked #4 PR1 on Google for a keyword with 3,000,000 searches
per month, and now I cant find it anywhere, except when I search the full url of the site.
I think it's because I pinged my site too much. Will I ever get back on the front page?

Then what happened to you isn't deindexing... prolly just a Google dance or sandbox. If your site still appears on SERPs then you simply need to build backlinks then.

@bdtyrone, I had it happen about a week ago to my $X,XXX/month moneysite. I figure Google is on to me and they decided to punish me (which is totally reasonable, but still sucks). I don't have any good advice to you but I can tell you I know what I did wrong: I woke up sleeping dogs when I lost my #1 spot and tried to "fix" it. Stupid and costly mistake.

I know what I did was wrong too... surely whitehat is a slow way, but apparently it's the sure way. Maybe we can mix whitehat, greyhat and blackhat techniques to get the best results in the long run.

What exactly did you do that you think was wrong, if you don't mind sharing it?

That's horrible man, I wish I could give you some advice but if you did a site: search for your domain and nothing comes up then chances are you got deindexed.

If you want to PM me the URL I'll take a look and see if I can come up with any advice for you.

Deindexed since when?

Could be it's ranking process..my website has disappeared from the SERP from 2 days until 11 DAYS (!!) the past months. I really thought that it was some kind of penalty..but it came back. It really sucks, but it's better than getting banned.
It always came back at the same position OR higher.

If you type in Site:YOUR-Domain and find nothing then that is deindexed and not sandbox or google dance. This isnt a serp problem. If it was then you should be able to type Site:YOUR-Domain and see something.

This is not good as you already know

bdtyrone, I am really sorry about this. All I can say is at least your not alone. They got me yesterday too (totally de-indexed).

It will not come back. I am pretty sure you need to contact google to be reincluded in SERPs. What did you do that you think made you get deindexed?

No results when you enter the query site:example.com

Cache of the page is removed, query: cache:example.com

What I did.

Thousands of new posts, SB blats, millions of backlinks.

Ran most of pots to Rapid Indexer/Pinger.

Scheduled pinging through SENuke.

while im sorry this happened to you...its quite obvious from posts here and the warrior forum that google is slowly outsmarting blackhat tools and/or agressive backlinking and in some cases natural backlinking.

heres a prediction for 6-12 months

scrapebox = useless
senukex = useless
xrumer = useless
amr = useless
bmd = useless
the best spinner = useless
and countless others

google and matt cutts are fighting their own war on terrorism.....

googles new algorithims will eventually be super efficient at picking up even the slightest blackhat footprint and volia its dancing with the stars time or even worse for your site...thats right folks...you can pour all your time and energy and money into writing 100 unique articles for a niche....but if you slip up even ONCE when backlink building and pinging especially google WILL punish you.

So many people have been affected just in the last 2 weeks it rather unbelievable.Hours and hours of work down the drain....people will really need to evaluate their seo efforts if their sites do not bounce back.

And i guess now with whats happening the question to ask is should people continue to concentrate thier efforts on 1-5 large sites or start building 50-500 minisites to minimise the risk and have more eggs in the basket.

i'm in the same boat as you guys, but i can't help but think that the google spam team LOVES to read these threads...

You my friend, are an idiot. Do you think Google is Einstein? Far from it. They are ordinary people just like everybody else. As long as there is a system, people will find a way to find the weakness and exploit it, as long as there is an algorithm, people like me will strive to figure it out. Get real kid, it's obvious you don't know anything about SEO.


To the OP: A main competitor probably reported you, triggering a manual review that led to you being de-indexed for some reason..

still new to all this but I was wondering if there was a way to find out what page of google your site is on. I didnt want to make a whole post about it but anyones help is appreciated

So strive harder and come up with a better answer than `probably` someone has reported you`
i guess the other 200 or so people who are suddenly deindexed or dancing must have been `reported as well huh?

I know this might sound anti-SEO, but always have a non-search engine traffic driving method in mind when developing a site, in addition to your SEO. If you can make other think you are getting SE traffic, then you can get paid. It hurts to be de-indexed, but the site is not a complete loss, and if you get traffic to a site, then you can monetise. Thanks for the rant, and keep on truckin', but yeah, i think you went overboard with link aggressiveness and Google fought back.
