Site 1 vs Site 2

Can someone share any advice what techniques can be use to make my site rank #1 for a given keyword. Here's the scenario as an example:

my site is goodbestsite
my competition is goodbest

when you google the keyword "good best" my competition is in 1st and 2nd in pagerank1, and mine goodbestsite ranks 3rd from the top.

i'll appeciate if you can share some ideas or what services i can get/order from the service section for this to work.
