single word seo problem

Hi I'm new to seo thing, I'm using 2 software to optimize my site and already success to level up my keyword to page 1 but not in the first position, well its ok for a while, my keyword consist 2 word like "blue car", or "company policy" in non english languange.
then i realize my site is no where to be found in single keyword like "company" or "cars" maybe not being index for single keyword, even i'm using adword ppc my site is still no where to be found, the site is 1 year old.

And also i'm curious about is it ok to optimize my site using an english content for non english site, cuz i manually spun my content and its very time and energy consuming?
