Okay, so I have a single-paged site. I really want to SEO it and get it ranked to #1 in google.
My question is simple.

Do I seo it just like I do on any other normal site or is there a specific technique for a single-paged site?
Normal sites can SEO much better since they can build links to other pages on the site and not just the homepage. How about single-paged?

Do you think I can make it big with a single-paged site? I'm confident I can because it is not a saturated keyword with only 3,400,000 google searches.

Go ahead and flood my thread with advices. :)

I did a 2 pages site with great seo results in the 3 most wanted requests - working the seo in only the first page, and, after a time (the first page had a pr3) the second page, with only 1 backlink with very good juice... and the page 2 gone directly to the first google results. In my sense the key is in a good semantic.

I've ranked a one-page site fine before, purely the sales page. Was a high competition term with TONNES of hits. It still pays my rent every week and I haven't touched it in a year.

How it's done - Tonnes of content on the page. I'm talking 5000 words plus. All written excellently, with good HTML tagging, and a good keyword density. 100% unique too. Then, the linking strategy is exactly like for any other site.

It also depends on the type of page and topic. If you have one page because there isn't much content, that's a problem. Ranking well without content is harder. If you're stuffing every section of a full website in one page, that's a problem also because you're diluting.
Multipage websites, as thin as they could be, are always stronger.

Of course everything is also relative to your competition, how are their websites structured?

Well I bought a really great looking web design and coding for $60. I'll buy ONE article with unique content, I really need to limit the words to 150-250 words. That's the furthest I can get, or else it would look unattractive.

What do you think about my limited words? My article will be SEO optimized.

Again, what are your niche competitors doing? If they're doing the same, fine, if they have big websites full of text, then it's an uphill battle that you will probably have to fight with OffPage SEO as the weapon of choice. But definitely do the best you can as far as OnPage SEO, that's where it all should and does start! Take full advantage of Headings, titles, alt tags, and so on...

One page will or not it is not an issue. Also make sure all your javascript coding is at the bottom if you have that.

Why the bottom? My coder coded my site in CSS I believe and it's full of javascripts too, that's why it's not a really long code as a whole.
How do I place headings, titles, alt tags on a css site? Does it apply the same as any other ordinary site?

Thats a valid info. Content matters the most.

Most of the time SEO for single page website is even easier because you don't have to worry about lots of on-page things like interlinking, duplicate content and etc.

This is spot on... Good advice for OP.
