Single opt in or double opt in?

I have a newsletter signup box on my blog and I was wondering if I should do single opt in instead of double opt in? I mean, many people are just too lazy to click on the confirmation email. Does awebar support it?

Double opt in with the option to unsubscribe.

More professional and more trusted that way.

Am currently on a journey to building an email list for my own website and been contemplating whether to go for single or double opt-in.

And also 1 thing I missed about your question to Aweber support for single opt-in...by reading the email marketing posts here I think they are either non-supportive or do not allow marketers to do that.

From my experience with GetResponse, you can still do single opt-ins but you need to uncheck the "confirmed opt-ins" options at the "campaigns" settings. And if you are going for external web form builders/scripts such as the OptimizePress webform plugins you would need special email request to the GetResponse Compliance Team for application to single opt-ins subscriptions.

Double option
Because when you start mailing you could have problems with bounced emails
