alright guys, been speaking to a guy whos ranked quite well for his key words and says hes done it by using simple seo tricks, he hasnt done any backlinking etc any one know what it is?

im sure he did some backlinks with 301 redirects aka you wont be able to see any of his backlinks that links to his main site

I assume its extreme on page optimization and targeting niche keywords with low competition, also probably to do with domain names, although this is relatively known so i dont know if it can be a 'trick'

lol... it's the ultimate secret to dominating google. never tell.

On a serious note, could you give us more info, maybe the name of the guy (he might be selling wso) or one of his websites? At this point, it's like asking us to give you the name of the girl, of that one friend, that we met that one time, at that one place... We're pretty much clueless and can't help you pinpoint his methods of going about seo. But i'm 90% it will be something that's mentioned here quite often.

Well, #9 on Google isn't hard to get so I'm not surprised he's there with no backlinking at all. A lot of my sites end up on the first page before I do any backlinking at all. You really want to be in the top 3 to see any significant traffic. To do that, you'll usually want to do some sort of link building.

but for them keywords its very competitive, he says hes used some sort of seo 'trick' any one know what it is by looking at his site
