Simple SEO Question

Hi guys!

I've got a simple question on SEO I was hoping you could help me out with as I think I might have been doing it wrong for about a year now!

Say for example I was targeting three keywords "UFC Betting Tips"

Would it be ok to have a page title of " UFC Fight Night 29 Betting Tips" or is it better for SEO if the title was "UFC Betting Tips for Fight Night 29"

I always thought that it didn't matter if the keywords were slightly broken up, so long as you used them, but I just installed the Yoast Wordpress plugin and it's indicating that they should all be put together as a phrase as opposed to individual words.

If you could help me out, I'd really appreciate it!

I thought I was learning a lot about SEO, but it looks like I've made a rookie mistake here!
 
Its not that big of a mistake. You can definitely still rank for the keyword if its broken up but its preferable if you can have the keyword all together. Just make sure it doesn't read awkwardly and you should be good.
 
I find that Yoast plugin really helpful. Even if you know what you should do, it's hard to remember everthing, every time.

Yeah - at the start of the Title tag and together, preferably. Plus in Description tag near the beginning of it too. And near the start of the first para and in the last para - together again. Plus the other stuff you probably now about 'on-page'. :)

It is best to combine them together into one readable keyword. Like others have stated not a big issue :)
 
"UFC Betting Tips for Fight Night 29" is the way to go.
 
It's not the biggest mistake in the world, but better if they're together. For onsite I do the exact KW in the SEO Title and URL, and just make sure the words appear in the H1 and description (but not in order, so like the way you have it now).
 
Sounds like to me you are picking keywords for one event which is a huge waste unless you plan on banking
quickly and moving on. The reason I say this is because as soon as the event is over expect that keywords
popularity to drop.
