Simple offline method [CPA Acc + Domains + Flyers]

I did a little test run of about 80 personalized flyers with no graphics or even a decent domain for that matter (I used tinyurl). I used a scholarship offer and placed them on desks in classrooms where they left the doors open at a university. Would've been more aggressive the first round since it's about a 50 mile trip one way, but I didn't want to wait on a domain to register and ran out of ink.

Any income that you can set policies that is not a JOB can be an automated income.

has anyone actually tried this yet.

I would love to see some results.

and want to start it myself. may need some help though.
 
Great Method, I will try this method out. Hopefully I can get this started in the next 2 weeks or so. I will keep everyone posted.

Obviously you have no clue as to what automated income is.
I push a button and make $60 an hour. That's automated income.
You drive a car to drop off flyers - that is not automated.
How much did you make off that little trip?:rolleyes:

Mate, at that rate I wouldn't be wasting my time, I would be pushing more buttons.... unless $60 per hour is the cap, of course. Either way, I'd still be happy to make $60 per hour automated :D
 
Hey guys, I have most of my plan set up. I just met a guy at work who does designs for fliers. I'm going to meet with him next week to discuss what I want to do exactly.
 
Also I'm going to start looking for some people to start delivering the fliers for me so when I get the fliers ready, they can start delivering them right away.

Anyone have an idea on how much i should charge them for giving out the fliers?

I really would not pay very much as it is just like doing d2d flyers in residential areas and this can be done by almost anyone. So I have heard doing it per how many they place or a flat hourly rate. I would do hourly of $5-7 or figure on something per 100 or per 1k placed.
 
Has anyone split tested fliers? I remember reading something on Mr Green's blog about how "ugly" ads can outperform pretty web 2.0 ones. Ill prob try both. Another thing you could do is create 2 "competing" fliers to split test copy but also you could even get the same person trying out both opt ins because they think they are different services....you could just use a diff cpa offer for each one
 
great idea i'm gonna get this ready for my team for December, alot of colleges here, metropolitan area ftw ;]
careful outsourcing and paying by hour/fliers put out, cause they can
1. throw away fliers
2. lie about how long it took them
etc.

oh and

NOTE(READ THIS!)
some college campuses require that a flier be approved before you can post it on bulletin boards/around campus etc. look on fliers that are already up to see if they have any "approved by SG" type stamp or something that appears on all fliers.

you don't want to go through all the work and then have them taken down

Thanks blackhat+er for the info. There is no way to find out if the guys doing the hand outs are not trying to scam me? I'm just worried about paying abd getting nothing in return. I guess that's the chance ill have to take.

Ya it is definitely a catch 22 in a way as you need quality but cannot really pay that great as it dips in your pocket. I personally have not done this in at least 12 months so if someone who has hired flyer runners recently could comment that would be great. I am thinking about jumping back in for a few split tests.
 
maybe pay a good flat rate the first time plus incentives and show the person that they will earn more off incentives than the up front. obviously they prob arent comptluer savy so u can play with the numbers but if u set up a stats page they can check daily and send them money constantly (every week or few days) thats alot of positive reinforcement to get their ass out and posting ; )

NP, btw i like to be "thanked" ;]

anyway, what i will probably do is hire some people i know, some of my friends i'm not real close with that i can trust, that will work for me cause i goto/ went to 2 schools in my area, if you don't know anyone, it'd be a little harder.

just pay really well and check some of their work from time to time i guess is the only way if you don't want to do commision based. i would do commision if you have low budget though because if it doesnt work well you don't have to worry about it.

just hype it so they think it def will work and they will get paid, ya know?
 
Yeah i c what you mean. I guess I have a few options then, depending on the money i"m willing to spend for distribution.
