My project is up-on-running and adbrite pays me the most since I am not accepted on adwords.

Yesterday I made a simple modification to disable the download button and after 15 release the download button so the people can download my stuff.

This simple modification made me an extra $20.. simple but effective.
I am now planning to scale it up and get atleast $50 a day.. then I want to aim for $100 a day.

Thanks blackhatworld for so much inspiration, and after so many failure I tought of my own methode, a big twist on some other methodes, combined them and made my project.

sorry i am a bit confused. from your image, it shows that you are placing text ads in abrite but in your text you were saying that you are not accepted in adwords ? or adsense ?

or you are using abrite as your adsense alternative ? am i right ?
 
Sorry could you explain exactly what you did, i use adbrite too and would love to boost my earnings on it
 
please help me boost my adbrite earnings too :D , sometimes adbrite does not show ads always :(
 
also how much traffic does your site get and how many downloads etc

i also have a blog but i hardly earn a few cents in a week!!! my ctr is very very very low!!!
 
He offers something for download and includes his ads around it...

He coded or modified the site to hide the download link for 15 seconds, causing people to click more...

i dont get why they would click the ads around it tho, wouldnt they only be interested on clicking the "download" button
 
I will however give this a go on one of my sites, maybe mixed with a pop over overlay type thing
 
yeah does anyone have the code snippet for making the button activate after 15seconds i think ive got everything else i need
 
i think i have half of it?
but when i disable links for 15seconds it means noone can click my ads either...

Sorry to keep bumping this thread, got it all working 100% only issue is i need the adbrite zone to activate and actually show adverts, is there any way to speed this up (Adbrite) as its a little pointless sticking it up without any ads to click :P
 
anooother bump, if anyones interested and wants the code, once mine is up and running ill post the results and code
currently on the side im using it on it will load partly over the page with a bit saying "if ur just getting started we recomend this download, downloads become active in 15seconds why not click some ads" obviously this can be changed to whatever

and theres a countdown timer and then the links become active.

People are impatient. If they think they will get the download immediately after clicking on one of these cool Google ads, they will indeed click.

What I did was making a download page, disabled the download button and after 15 secondes enable the button. (people don't know how many seconds)

My instructions were:

To enable the download button, please click on one of the ads.

*Advertisment here*

*download button here, with the 15 seconds enable*

-- As people are so impatiens and WANT the file fast as possible they click the ad.
they go to inother page (advertiser page), they click backwards and in the maintime the timer released the button and people can download it straight away..

Clever methode I think of myself :rolleyes:

lol modifying my page to that now :P thanks
still waiting for the adbrite adverts to actually show up on that page though

will definitely report back on this and see if it makes a difference

/edit - does your download link start out greyed out, the best i can do so far is just having it so the link doesn't work when you click it.
