I'll get straight to the point with this. My whole idea is to show just how kw density (as most of us know) plays a huge role in SERP position of a certain page.

Site is new, domain is new, couple of months old, no backlinking done, just a bit of social media. That's all. To the page I'm talking about below, no links have been pointed at all during this test.

KW is ~9900 MS US, body building supplement related.
Let's just say that top 10 is bodybuilding.com and such.

I've hired a writer to get content done, content is awesome, but I haven't hired SEO writer, just a regular guy who put together awesome content the way I wanted it, so content was not optimized KW wise.

I've published that post on 2017/02/17. It got in index couple a days after.

SERP position: Nowhere to be found

Then, on 12th March I have decided to tweak that post slightly just in terms of keyword density. Nothing else. I've got this.

Just clicked save and left it like that.

Then on March 19th (a week later).

SERP position: 32

It's been there 35-31 ever since for a month now. Time to start link building for it. ;)

Just thought it might give a few hints for some of you guys struggling with on page SEO and KW density.

Thanks for sharing this. This is exactly the reason why I've said time and again that high quality, relevant content is a must when it comes to ranking be it for churn and burn or long term rankings.

You are welcome. It's not who-knows what, but after all "SEO is dead" threads just wanted to share a bit of recent tests done. :)
