    IMACRO.jpg

    Hello! as you guessed I AM a noob. took me about 15 minuits to figure out how to get a pic here. I also for the life of me can not remember how to spell minuit. or maby its right. anyhow I do know that imacros cant do this with the build in tools,it must be done in another format I'm not fimiliar with. I'm sure its been asked before. yes i searched and read alot. learned some other stuff though, but not this.

    I simply want line to repete itself 5000 times without sticking 5000 lines in, freezing imacros. (yes iv tryed many times,no laughing).
    anyone willing to help me with this? Thank you ;)

    If its the exact same command then just loop the macro instead of regular play.

    You can use VBA with Imacros to achieve this.

    I would like to thank "BHW" for the guidance I was hoping for. while unfalimiar with vba it at least point me in the right direction. I posted this same question at the obvious forum for this question, only to be met with sarcasm because of my obvious ignorance.

    very much appreicated everyone :)

    Looping only a specific line is impossible in iMacros. However you can make a JavaScript file (.js) that easily accomplishes this and play the .js file instead of the .iim one. Some people recommend VBA because they find Visual Basic easier, but I prefer JS instead. Do what you like most, the result will be the same.

    what do you exactly use to run the macro, the standalone browser or firefox with the imacros addon? i'm just asking, because the standalone browser tends to hang sometimes for no obvious reason, however the firefox addon runs pretty smoothly, so maybe try to insert the 5000 lines of code into an .iim and run it with the firefox addon and see if it still freezes or not, it would be still a lot helluva easier than learning a new programming language from scratch :)

    unless you don't need to do complex things, the firefox addon is enough to use most of the time

    Thank you to everyone! The correct answer here is: looping a single line within a script during the tools that comes is not possible..ex:
    TAG =WHATEVER
    TAG=WHATEVER2

    If you want "whatever" to loop only once, and "whatever2" to loop 100 times, it simply can't be done using the imacros recording feature and using the traditional looping feature.
    This task can only be accomplished as ram_930 sugessed on this thread. It CAN be done using vba or is. Again thank you everyone for your ideas!! :)
