Similar to high traffic domain with hyphen.

So lets say theres a high traffic domain like "facebook", i happen to find through simple research that "face-book" with a hyphen is not registrated.

Should i registrate it? anyone sees value in a site holding an almost exact name match? the real site has atleast 150k+ hits a month

i have no idea of how to monetize the domain, YET, however i know i can crush the real owner of the site through SEO and outrank his first position, their optimization is terrible. So what do u guys think, im thinking i can either set up a legit site related to the original or use the domain and redirect the hits to one of my real sites in hopes they click ads or purchase affiliate stuff.

having dash wont bring you much traffic in the sense of stealing from orginal source. Its best to go with typos if you want to take share of someones traffic. Although since the word is searched alot on google, you can do seo on your dashed website and hope it ranks. (It wont obviously be above the main site since most people will go there unless you do huge seo and have great content to keep users etc)

He is right actually.
The Google.com gets millions of hits if you buy goo-gle.com then how can you get the traffic without any effort?.
Yeah if you do Search Engine Optimization or Social marketing then you can get the traffic like Google.com!!

The actual site has nothing to do with internet really, their real business is in real life, they just happen to have a website like every corporation with the difference that they do get alot of searches and hits. Itismine, based on what i just said it would be really easy to outrank em in a matter of weeks, hypothetically what would u do with thousands of visits comming ur way?
