Silomatic: Building Website Google Way Anyone using it?

I've stumbled upon silomatic

(I'm not promoting nor am I affiliated to them at all) and was wondering if anyone has used it to create mini-sites (5-10 pages) quickly with the right "Google structure". My main areas are paid traffic, keyword research, link wheeling and seo practices but I'm a bit weak on the actual basic techie side so was wondering if that tool was the best one to create quick sites with a half-decent bone structure, which would take me otherwise like a few days to do it manually.

If you use this service please comment or if you use another site builder please share as well. I wanna be able to build site quickly and efficiently to focus THEN on the meaty part which is getting backlinks, promoting with article marketing, SEO,etc.

Big G loves Wordpress and they end up getting indexed than more other so called sitebuilder built sites. Also WP is easy to build and get indexed in Google fast.

So if you want to build sites fast then do check out Wordpress.

While it is true that google likes wp, that doesn't mean it's always the optimal solution. PHP based sites are a lot more server intensive. When you're constantly adding new content such as in a blog, then wp is a very good solution. If you mostly have static content and don't require things like comments, etc. then there are some real advantages in making html based pages. Faster page loads for one thing, and less chance of server load errors.

If I don't need a blog I usually write my own html code from scratch or find a template as a starting point and modify it how I like. I've never found any html editors that I like so I still just use notepad.

If this program does what it says then I'd be interested in giving it a try. Of course I'm not going to pay $97 just to give it a try though, LOL.

Very good point Grey...hmm I'm on the fence again here. Of course I could still get it from my own Clickbank account and get it at half price to try it out. But yeah static html pages can have real advantages for sure. I'm still debating.

if having a static html page is the only thing keeping you on the fence then you should look into a wp plugin caller wp super cache (or something very similar to that) what it does is create static html page for each page of the site then tells google to cache that instead, by doing so you decrease load time, decrease the use of server resources and keep all the funtionalty of having a wp site

the only downside is that if you frequently update/change you site it takes more time and resources to do so

so basically its great for real sites that building a static html page for would be considered an alternative but bad for things like an autoblog or news site

you should defi check into though and post you findings for others

Also keep in mind that wordpress makes certain things simpler when you use the right plugins with it. For example, I wouldn't want a 20 page html site where I am trying to find certain keywords I want linking to each other within my sites pages. Using WP plugins makes enhancements like this much easier.

You want a good cache program. A lot of people say that this is only necessary if you are running a high traffic site, but I disagree strongly. Page load today is a factor with google, and WP in it's native form with just a few choice plugins that most people use takes quite a few resources. With every page load there is an average of 40 sql queries, and several apache calls.

WP Super Cache is a good cache program. If you want something with more control, you might want to check out W3 Total Cache as well.

Be careful with Twitter plugins, they are brutal to page load. Once again, try and use the caching options available to you. They will make a considerable difference both in your sites performance, and in how much your server will be able to handle.

As for silo pages. You can do this with wordpress. It's a form a site structure. There is debate over just how effective this is with google. However, from an end user perspective, it is a rather efficent way to organize a site for better navigation. Given the recent updates with Google, I think that it is worth taking the extra effort to help increase the relevance of each page within your silo on your site. I don't think you need just 'one' link to each page though, I think you can accomplish this quite effectively by targeting specific keywords/titles within a category using something like SEO Links plugin and allowing those pages to specificly interlink to each other where applicable. To Google, this will appear like one nice ball of relevant information, almost similar to the effect we witness with wikipedia.

Of course, there is also a WP Plugin which will do this for you, for a price. Search google for virtual silo and you will find it. Will explain what it will do for you. Note that if you just use the Pages function of Wordpress, you can achieve the same results without the plugin. The plugin will extend this capability to posts.

Finally, to break the tie, I am going to tell you to just go ahead and start using wordpress. The odds are good that you are eventually going to want to start using it at some point, and you are more likely to get more done quicker than if you were to attempt HTML on your own. HTML is a much steeper learning curve. Search around forums here about what WP plugins people recommend to help you get started. Pay attention to the dates of the posts, as some will be dated. Also, there are a lot of WP plugins for Clickbank you are sure to find that could likely help you out.
