Hello everyone,

Suppose I am setting up a website to sell an industrial machine for pencil manufacturing.

I've come across the concept of silo structure for SEO and am wondering if it's worth implementing in this scenario?

If so, should my pillar page be a category page or a regular page that acts as a parent? Also, given the specialized nature of the product, how deep should the silo structure be? Any insights or experiences with silo structure in industrial or manufacturing niches would be super helpful.

Thanks in advance!

Is it only about machines for pencil manufacturers ?
As far as I understand , silo structure needed on broad niche sites, which sells different similar group of products.

I agree with Anticitizen, if the niche is small there's not much siloing you can do.

In such a case, setting up a business-type of website (that only has a few pages like Contact, About Us, Services / Products, etc) is the right way to go about it, but the thing is that such a website cannot be properly SEO'd due to lack of content (and probably lack of enough keywords, too)

So, the best option would be to set up a business-type of website and do offline marketing, or making partnerships with other businesses that complement yours. You can use advertising (social media, PPC, offline banners / fliers, etc) to acquire partnerships, or participate in relevant forums, getting listed in local / national directories, etc...

set up a business-type of website
go with this, I do work on a few similar sites (Not pencil machinery). For all those, we use regular business-type websites, but we do use clear contact info and location for each website to make it trustworthy.
