As an advertiser who aims to be compliant, I really despise silent installs. What often happens is the applications that are installed silently are very invasive to the user. Silently installed applications end up stealing a lot of revenue from advertisers like us that have legitimately paid to be on the computer. We then have to go to publisher and force them to ban advertisers that practice silent installs.

I understand your point, but some apps don't really needs the users agreement for them to monetize, like search bars, pops, etc.

btw I'm and advertiser aswell and I bought alot of silent installs.
what are you talking about? it's not the fact of a silent install but the lack of description and clear message to a user causing issues with revenues for advertiser not the type of installation
