Silent GSC Penalites

Any thoughts on silent GSC penalties, a lot has been discussed recently about sites and especially new sites under 3 years old, stuck in the sandbox and never getting out, throttling etc.. - sites with low link profiles being subject to silent organic search penalty actions, in essence, this is the "no matter what I do, I can't rank or get traffic" conundrum, outside of sites loaded to the gills with PBN's or the guy posting 2k pages of spun content a day...I get every bloke with a DR80 can complain about everyone else below them...this isn't really about them, if your DR is that high you should be happy and silent...

its an interesting topic for most sites, and especially new sites, and new businesses..with less tech experience. I own a car but that doesn't make me a master mechanic nor should I have to become one...this is a totally different issue..

I suppose it isn't impossible.
I strongly feel though that it's about the quality of the content that's being put onto the new sites.

I have a site that I've slowly been building over the last year, and it's started to pick up natural back links. It's outranking sites with higher metrics and have been around for a lot longer. I firmly believe that part of this is because the content on their sites is shit.

It's about the speed the links get built as well. There's no way a new site will be getting a boat load of links right away, it doesn't look natural, and of course Google will sandbox it. I think that's part of the issue, new businesses are so impatient and don't realise that the link velocity in the starting days will help them.

As you said, they're not clued up on the finer details, so why couldn't you fire x amount of links to the site.

Core web vitals as well are something which a lot will overlook. Case in point, if a newbie is setting up a site, they may want to have social share buttons on every post and page. These are great, but the one that was included in a theme I use a lot really slows down the site. Having them turned on have a score on page speed insights of 69 and 64 for desktop and mobile respectively. Turning them off shot both up to 99.

Sadly, with rubbish load times, Google aren't going to put a website front and centre, but the majority of people won't even take this into account, let alone their "experienced" website builders that they hire to launch the site.

I think its a load of shit.
Silent fuckin penalty, i feel its a rabbit hole that an SEO can get trapped for ever. Google doesnt know what quality content is, it gages via user signals.

If i start feeling im getting silent penalties then i will fuckin give up SEO. Because this is entering into some serious mind fuckery territory. For what fuckin gains Google ???

Devalue my site because its a year old and not enough links or what ever variable they comeup up.

I have a year old site, acquring links naturaly, traffic increasing daily.

Built 5 wiki links last month and aint did shit since, site is still climbing.
So im also nt to sure about this link velocity thing either... am i loosing ranking or will i? A few pages on tbe site pop in and out of index, do i think its a silent penalty Fuck No....Dnt drive yourself into psychosis over thinking google...

We shal see, but as soon as this "silent penalties" become a thing i will start selling drugs.

Yea, the sites they seem to like in the way of page speed are virtually blank...look at John Mu's site, its a throw back to the Great Depression in the way of appearance, the big scammer sites that rank 1m keywords are all non formatted hyperlinks...just black and blue letters on a white screen...im not sure how that is for the user...but I hear you. and agree

Wiki links dont work, any link that no-follows is valueless..I dont care what anyone says, the systems are not setup for no-follow links, same for links on chat boads, web 2.0, or comments, they are worthless as cow pie..and a big waste of your time...

My site has complex content and passes google page speed. It took me 2 weeks to get the site passing google page speed.
I'm an experienced software developer with commericial experience in high performance computing.
Beat me, what everyone else is going to do. * shrugs *

I'm hoping my 90+ scores will put me ahead of my competitor sites with ~20 scores next month.

They are doing one of two things...one they are stripping down their sites to almost nothing, no images, just no font text no color. check out John Mu's site great example..or two, they don't give a "F" major sites have shit speed because they don't need an extra .5 seconds to rank, index, and do business very very well, the problem isn't actually your site, its shit internet speeds...and expecting everyone with an old phone flip phone in Argentina to be able to enjoy your site is how they decide when to serve SERPS to someone in Cupertino with a 5k Mac..give me a break..I'm not sure that stripping down a site to nothing is the solution..its like everyone in a city can only read children's books because those are the only books the youngest people in the city can read...if everyone, including children, can't read it, then no one can...and honestly, most sites are fast enough..an extra. 0.2 of a second isn't even decernable if you customer cant wait for 0.2 of a second what makes you think they are going to spend the time buying your things and entering all their details
