Has anyone had issues signing up for their free trial in sales navigator?

I have noticed that new accounts get a 'card declined' message when trying to sign up for sales navigator. Yet, older accounts with X amount of connections can sign up easily with the same card. Has anyone experienced this on their end?

I use privacy.com to spin up virtual credit cards when signing up.

That is certainly curious. Was the card used already linked to the older account or did you use it on the new account first and then on the older account? Could be like a Google or Facebook thing where they can tell if the card is in use by an existing account or something.

We've tried new cards as well to test that theory. From speaking with Linkedin support, they said the account had a restriction on 'upgrading.' They transferred the support ticket to another dept. Once that dept. looked at the account, they restricted the entire account.

So maybe activity related? How odd. How long is the restriction supposed to be for? Did they say?

Any new accounts seem to have a 'restriction' on upgrading until it hits a certain age or # of connections. Possibly a combination? Once an account gets to a certain age and/or connection, I'm able to upgrade.

Okay, that does make sense. Might play around some proxies and anti-detect browser myself to see if the restriction applies 100% of the time to new accounts. I remember before getting the free premium trial on a fairly new LinkedIn account and it made it eligible to purchase right after.

I believe mid-2022, we started to see free trial restrictions on new accounts. Curious to know your results.

Tried a few new accounts, seems like upgrading to premium is working just fine regardless of age or connections. Free-trial is also available on all of them making the upgrade to paid easier. Looking around LinkedIn's trial page, I can see there's a 12 month limit before you can try the free premium again after activation.

I think you should try the 10 years old account. I think that will work perfectly for you
