Signatures should be displayed Everytime in all posts including bst threads, and same thread (multiple replies)

I am proposing that bhw allow signature in bst for all members, and in threads too and here I mean if I replied multiple times in a thread it should show for all replies.

my argumen:

1) the concept of BHW is to keep members here, keep the forum engaged and make sure they buy from members here to avoid falling for scams elsewhere.

2) so many times people don’t even know a particular service exists, but if signature were everywhere in. All posts then all would know of it.

cons:

people would use one single thread to spam risky yes, but reporting button is always there and for better or worst use the ignore button, itll automatically decrease the spam.

note this is just a request/suggestion and should not be interpreted as an demand.

Worst suggestion ever.

We know there are several members who post on hundreds of threads, 99% of the time offering zero information or value, but just to advertise their banner/signature.

If anything it should be reduced to being blocked in sections such as Introductions.

This has been suggested a few times over the years in forum suggestions and feedback. Each time without really appreciating the ramifications of the change already made.

Originally we made the call that excessive adverting was bad for the user experience. A few years ago we updated our thinking so that only paid members should have a signature and each signature should only appear once per view. With a specific rule to protect marketplace sellers that only allows the OP to have a signature appear in marketplace threads.

When advertising is allowed to go nuts the forum takes on the appearance of a Christmas tree from a 1950’s Hollywood movie and bounce rates go up significantly.

For this and many other reasons we’ll be keeping the signature rules as they currently are.
