Signatures: Excessive text symbols vs images

    Question about the rules on signature, or maybe a request to clarify them.

    Signature with excessive blocks, similar to what used to be used in the marketplace titles, not sure if anyone still does it:

    Then you have the image version of that same signature, say a screenshot of it. Instead, the unicode blocks would be background colors. Would that be under the same penalty?

    Rules state: You may post 2-3 affiliate links or 1 banner (728x90 pixels max) in your signature. Do not use a font size larger than 3, crazy fonts/colors, sound clips, excessive smileys, or anything else annoying.

    Is the text one considered annoying but the image version would be okay?

    I don't care about changing it, I just don't need the infractions on my account.
