Signatures Bug?

I've seen a number of users on here, who aren't paid up members, with custom banner signatures advertising their company or services.

Although they don't appear in their posts, their signatures are available to see if you look at their profiles.

Is this a bug? It was my understanding that only paid up members were allowed to use the signature space.

Easiest way is to use the report button on their profile page, if this is the case.

Actually, it might be that they were previously paid up members and the signature has remained after their subscription lapsed.

Same applies, use the report button please. If they're not paying for the right to have this, then they will lose it.

Specific examples are always useful in cases like this but. If a “signature” doesn’t appear after their posts then it’s not a signature in the true sense.

Maybe you saw the forum ads and took them as signatures. (Some banner ads are displayed in sig spaces of not paying members as far as I remember)

They are only visible when you go to a member's profile and go to Information.

Take https://www.blackhatworld.com/members/burn-notice.28806/ for example.

Thanks for confirming - that's not considered a sig as it doesn't appear after each post - that's just their profile setting.
