---- stage 1 ---- preparation work -----
a) Get a screenshot tool (in my case I use Jing by TechSmith - free one), but there are loads of other good tools as well;
b) Copy your screen and wait for the screenshot tool to upload your screenshot image to its server;
c) Open the image in your browser and copy the full url of the image (will end with .jpg or .png in most cases)

No - I'm not joking...
This tool never crashes, works very fast, can be used to give the link of a screenshot over the skype, gtalk and mostly I'm used to it
.. works fine+ screenshots stay on their server forever (not sure for what time period - but I haven't seen yet a single image to disappear)...
----
this is just 1 of the ways how to do that
... there are at least 4 others I know, but I use this one peace

p.s. it is super easy to add arrows, text, borders and even move them later
