This may be a touch off-topic but can anyone recommend a good reasonably priced host that allows shoutcast severs?

I think any VPS is going to allow shoutcast hosting, as long as you have unlimited bandwidth. There's nothing really bad about it. Just don't go buying a shoutcast server instead of a VPS, you'll pay way too much.
