Folks,

Should I be using a VPN when crawling for emails with Scrapebox?

Kind Regards,
Heracles

Ideally stick with some decent proxies, rather than VPN.

No need as you should probably use proxies when using scrapebox

I dont think so.. If you can use your pc or laptop 24/7 then you dont have to use vpn because main purpose of using vpn is just that you work scrapping shouldn't stop

Some VPNs limit your speed, better off using proxies

If you keep the connections down skip the proxies and a VPN. If you have a nice mix of domains anyway.

If its all 1 domain, then proxies will give you lots of ips and make sure that your not getting blocked by that domain, although becareful not to go to fast as you can take down a site on cheap hosting.

If it lots of domains, keep connections at 2 or 3 and just let it go with nothing in the way of proxies or VPN.

As for if you have a huge list of domains, just spin up another few instances and run several instances each on different chunks of your list.

What are the use cases when you would say the use of proxies are an absolute must?

Using fast poster or contact forms. Basically posting/sending.

Thats it. Thats only because if there is a complaint and your not using proxies it goes to your ISP and then they can refuse to sell you internet access, which is clearly bad.

Else proxy use in anything else is just about being able to go faster because you have more ips.
