I'm starting my new niche site and I was wondering if you should silo your site? I am using Wordpress and have read up on how to silo your sites but people are having trouble with link bleeding(someshit like this) and I was wondering if I should silo my site?

Also so are there any plugins which do this automatically for you and does it work with all themes?

I am considered a newbie here so take it easy.

thanks

Siloing is easy if you understand your niche, and yes, you should silo your site. If you don't understand/aren't familiar with the niche or if you're experiencing any difficulties, use a keyword research tool. An example of a silo is:

Category>>> Vacuum cleaners
Sub category>>> Best vacuum cleaners
Article 1>>> Best vacuum cleaners for pet hair
Article 2>>> Best vacuum cleaners for hardwood floors

I came up with that with a little keyword research.

How big of a site are you planning to build? I wouldn't silo a site with 20 pages of content for sure, anything upwards of 50-80.

its a niche site so depending on how it ranks we'll see how many pages, but as start it won't be anywhere near 50 pages

thanks, I understand how to silo but my question is how can you do this within Wordpress?

It's easy with WordPress using parent categories and sub-categories if you're publishing your content as posts, or using parent pages and child pages if you're publishing your content as pages. Hope this helps.
