With this new Facebook News Feed update should we be worried? What’s your take on it? Have you been affected by it? It looks like it may only really affect viral videos and news media sites

Why do you say that? I’m not posting viral videos or news sites
If you weren't you wouldn't be posting this.

You think marketers are on FB for news sites and viral videos mostly?

Anyway, I have to admit I was pretty pissed off about Suckerberg his hypocrite post and after that moved on.

This is IM ever changing and getting harder.

I’m not necessarily sure how to feel about it and wanted an opinion or two on how others are looking at it. But that’s only what I read within different articles I’ve seen online. I haven’t noticed much of a difference in reach since the update has been announced but am curious to see what others think about it

When you talk about FB you have to worried about everything.

Most people already noticed big droppings on their fan page and that is a result of it and it will get worse.

Ad costs will go through the roof.

I believe so, where did you hear or see that people have been noticing big drops of reach on their fanpage?

It's all over the forum. I'm not going to look for the exact threads, busy busy but there are also recent threads about the 2018 changes, look em up.

Well I can confirm all my links were hit today from 5-20k per link now to 600 per a link yikes, I only ever posted boardpanda links as they seemed the cleanest compared to the others. It seemed normal over the weekend but I think they officially rolled it out Monday.

if you keep up reading you can get over it all .

but if you think you can be lazy wont work no more it harder today.

all methods need adapting

What if we are actually selling a legitimate service. PPE Ads in the U.S went from .40 to $3.

Is there something proactively to lower that. I went from $900 a day to $100 which hurts..... a lot

My Ads cost less than $0.01 now - before I was paying about $0.02

My organic reach drop slightly from the beginning of the year but my Ads are much cheaper and more effective now

it will have an effect, but it will take some time. Only when the big brands and pages that got organic traffic up until now will realize that their organic exposure dropped - only then price will be increased because they will start advertising again (or more)
