the more content the better, SEO-wise, but your poor visitors will dread coming back to your site if they search for something like "the best office mouse" and you start your article with meaningless shit like

Why Are Mice Great For Computers

etc.
I mean, I would (and often do) close the entire browser instantly had I landed on such a page, and then I'd throw my computer out of the window and go play with my dog.
But google likes long articles, so you'll have to decide on your own which length you're going with

well semrush is suggesting 300 words article, it means your targeted keywords have less competition but remember always look in google first 10 results, check those websites one by one and count their article words and let me tell you that keywords competition if today is low less then 10, it will increase with time so better to write good seo article of minimum 1000 words and maimum 5000 words so it ranks well and can't be derank easily in future.
