Should I wait before I start working on my sites?

Title pretty self-explanatory. Is there some amount of time I should wait before putting content on my Wordpress sites, and submitting sitemaps for them?

If you create and build sites naturally you should never have to wait. There is no magic formula for website content creation.

Of course not , you can do that from the first hour you have finished building your website.

I thought I've read from others around here it's better to give your sites maybe a week or so before creating backlinks to them, perhaps I'm just crazy. :smashfrea

What they've most likely meant is that do not - for the love of everything that's holy for you - go blasting tens of thousands of links in the first hour, and then stop. There's nothing wrong in setting up a site with little content, then setting up social media profiles and dropping few links here and there, because it will take some time to index them.

The whole point is that the growth of your linkprofile should look natural, with no major spikes or anything - just make it gradually, and slowly enough, grow.

Some might want to play it oversafe, and wait for their whole website content get indexed first before starting linkbuilding, but even that approach shouldn't take more than couple days in normal situations.

There is no reason to wait to build a website. Google has no idea if the website was being built before the site went live, for example.

No one is getting penalized for building a site to fast.

If the content is not unique, that's a different story.

Nope, there is no such time limit for you to wait before you can place content/articles on a website. If you are talking about backlinks and other off-site SEO strategies then that's another thing...

But seriously if you like you can update your website as early as you like, who's gonna stop you anyways

Once you finished creating websites then start the process of adding links where you will get traffic and in turn you can earn from that...!
