When doing some BH and researching black hat stuff should I be using firefox and a search engine like duckduckgo to do any searching on etc. Or is it safe to use google just don't want google chrome and leave footprints etc. But if I can get away with using chrome I will as all my best plugins are on it.

ok going to do you know if they track the pages visited such as guides on black hat etc and use it against you for any sites in webmaster tools as I wouldn't put it past them

You can use Incognito mode for private browsing in Firefox.

As you browse the web, Firefox remembers lots of information for you - like the sites you've visited. There may be times, however, when you don't want people with access to your computer to see this information, such as when shopping for a present. Private Browsing allows you to browse the Internet without saving any information about which sites and pages you've visited.

Shortcut: CTRL + Shift + P

I really think you are worrying too much. I don't think they have the manpower to track threads you have read. And then stalk any sites you might be building.

Puritanically speaking yes they could track you and hammer you but in reality, not likely. They are not the thought police who are inside your every decision making process.

Lol im going to carry on using chrome then as got it all set up with some nice plugins that firefox does not have. Im going to go with the verdict it would be too much effect for them to check the billions of people using their browser.

I use firefox by default. Just clear cookies and history and google won't care you.

ok another quick question to add lets say I use incognito in chrome I have some plugins I would like to to to save switching windows would it be ok to enable them in incognito or would this leak anything. The plugins im talking about are mainly seo plugins such as ahref, moz, similerweb, majestic and that...
