Whenever I start laptop, I get notification to upgrade to Windows 11. Should I do this upgrade as it is free ? Or is there some demerit of doing this upgrade ?

If you have newer hardware, it will be forced upon you without choice eventually. At least that has happened to me twice now, and not happy about MS's b.s.

Upgrade to Linux OS. There is a learning process, but you will love it.

I think 10 is best. Used windows 11 for a month, but the experience was not good. For UI/UX it's good.

When I first upgraded to windows 11 it caused a few problems; in particular file and folder access had a small delay.
I ended up doing an OS reset after the upgrade and that fixed it.

So just keep that in mind. But aside from that, it’s sensible to upgrade.

I am using it for over a year now. Had no issue with it.

I am using 11 from few months now and its good, not found any major issues.

There shouldn't be any problem to update to windows 11 at some point the computer will auto update and might do it in the middle of something important as usually windows does updates and everything, so you can update right now, remember that with every update the improve and secure the OS so far windows 11 is really good visualy and in performance.

Hell NO!
This would teach would teach you a lesson, you don't want to learn the hard way. It's just fancy for nothing. I prefer 10.

Sir, we all know that to get windows level productivity with linux it will take 5 months. None of linux supporters share what is needed to understand it. And too much is needed to be productive. It's not for people processing less data. It's best for servers, not daily use. Forcing that will result in me saying the truth.

You'll have to hold shift and right click to open long contextual menu on Windows 11. It's the only drawback for lame people like me.

There’s not much difference between 11 and 10, my only issue is how slow 11 makes my laptop…

No don't update now, because still windows 11 have a lots of issues and bugs wait for it you just wait few month
i hope they will fix a lots of issues and bugs If you were fine with issues and bug's then you should install, but i am waiting for stable version of windows which have less bug and issues then i will be install windows 11 Its still in early stages thats why i avoid to install now a days but later when windows 11 update fix issues i will happily install windows 11 :)
