Should I through away my Hosting subscription?

Hi there, so I have a web hosting subscription from Hostinger, it's 4 years subscription. I bought it in the past for an affiliate website that didn't work. Now I'm about to start a new website, but I've heard lately that Siteground is the no. 1 shared hosting and that it helps your website to rank up. My question is should I start my new website with a free hosting "the one that I'm already subscribed to"? or should I invest extra bucks on Siteground to get a bit faster website?

site speed helps but it’s not the be all and end all.

as someone just starting out, i dont think you need THE BEST AND MOST EXPENSIVE. especially if hostinger is already paid for anyway. generate profit, and then consider it. while we are at it, don't depend solely on SEO. if possible, do some social media marketing too. Share on groups, etc.
also, what helps you ranks is not siteground, is the speed of your page and the enhanced user experience that comes with it. rather than expending more, optimize your page first and make it more appealing.

How much of a difference is it in terms of speed? My bet it's abysmal.

I use many non-mainstream hosts. They are cheaper and do the job well.
