Should I target this keyword again?

I had an EMD .com domain related to a software niche and it was making me a few hundred dollars through clickbank every month. But it was a single sales page template and nothing else and so, maybe Google hit it hard and sent it into oblivion during the first Panda. I had used clickbank link without cloaking and that might also be the reason. But that was it and I left the website and let it rot. But today, I was just playing with keyword tool/SeNuke and it is showing millions of searches for everything including intitle and with quotes for that EMD keyword and is showing me "Dont waste time on this keyword". Interesting thing is that there were several others behind me in the same keyword game without the EMD .com like me and they also got kicked by Panda except one. And it had also reinstated top sites including google forum, youtube, blogspot etc. for that keyword. So, what do you think? Should I again target it and will the EMD work now. Anyways I do not seem to have anything to lose here. I also checked the Google Trends and it seems to be only increasing with time and the to four countries in trends is US, UK, Australia and Canada. So, what do you suggest. Should I go after it again and if so, how many pages should I build and what approach should I take this time round for making it to the top and if possible to even top blogger, youtube and google for the keyword.

Any ideas would be appreciated. I do not want to add 40-50 articles too as I am not sure how well I can remove the Panda effect and if it was manually removed from the top 10 by Google. I noticed all affiliate sites of mine getting hit hard especially the ones without cloaking and so, it might be due to that too. Ideas needed.

I 301 redirected my domain to a new domain to fight panda. But i dindt close my site. And 301 permanent redirect is the only best way if that happens or wait for more than 6 months for your old site to come back.

How long have you been stuck in Panda? My main money site disappeared for 3 months then it came back.

I am not sure I should 301 redirect it as it is an EMD .com domain. IMO it is probably due to using the clickbank affiliate links without cloaking thrice in the same page and also due to the content being not much informational. It was just a 500 words or so small sales page which was covered by the clickbank links more than anything else and it was but evident that it was promotional page and not informational. I was ranking in top 3 being an EMD .com and so, did not care much. And less content meant more clickbank clicks and chance of conversion. So, if I use informative content of at least a few pages and inside that place a cloaked clickbank link/banner once then maybe it would bounce back and with some whitehat quality SEO. That is now my plan of action. And EMD .com should normally rank at the top of the keyword very easily and it has happened all these years but things are changing with Panda it seems. I also need to a bit more aggressive in SEO it seems.

It has been in oblivion ever since the first Panda around March April or so. So, it has been quite a long time. It is still in good position in Yahoo and Bing though but it seems ranking has decreased there too and it has moved to second page there for both keywords including the EMD one.
