I found this domain on Dynadot expired auctions and had bid on it. There was a guy bidding higher than me but failed to deliver the money, so I'm the winner. I have 14 hours to choose. Should I take smartwallets.net? :o

If the price is right for you and you sure you can use this domain for some way to monetize it or use for other purposes when yes, but if its just a domain to have and dont do anything with it i dont see the reason to buy it. Unless you are domain reseller, but if you would be one of those you should already know if its hot or not.

Good luck!

ask yourself if the domain is worth it.

I read somewhere that there are bots that bidding on the auction to squeeze more money to the real bidder.

I would suggest to find another domain if you can, but if you have real plan on the domain name, go for it.

If you're actually going to use the domain then I would buy it but like someone else said is it worth it?

You know the real value that you're going to buy it and the purpose of buying it than anyone of us meanwhile you can do some more analysis about the domain age, domain authority, amount of backlinks it has, global monthly searches that matches the domain name (if there is any) etc, push2check . net is a very good online tool that you can check the SEO value of a website.

Only invest if you have a solid plan on how to maintain a positive ROI.

well smartwallets is a catchy name so if you know how to provide relevant quality content then get it.
you can put some content about money making methods or even try and create a money transfer processor like 2checkout.
I would trust a site like moneybookers with a name smartwallets.

I gave you some ideas if you think that you won't implement anything then don't buy it cause you'll waste money.

I don't particularly like the domain - not an emd, not a .com

What are you thinking of doing with the site?

Or you can use any of these (all free at this time) for the registrar price:

Code:
smartwallets.co
smartwallets.org
smartwallets.ca
smartwallets.us
smartwallets.ws
smartwallets.me
smartwallets.biz
smartwallets.mobi

its also worth considering why domains come available. In many cases these could potentially be penalised sites in the past, so worth doing homework on backlinks and using the wayback machine to see what content was on the domain before

given that that domain name has no residual backlinks, and no residual google PR or anything else I would go with the .org and get a .99 coupon and call it a day... Then build the site to whatever you want it to be.

OP clearly stated in his thread
I have 14 hours to choose.

Now, it was more than 48 hours passed.. You guys still giving suggestions :) I know this thread will extends..So, To put an END! am posting this :)

Okay OP ?
