I'm building a website to sell products, i have the base wordpress working with some contact form, but no product and no content yet.
I should start having my first product and content by next week.

would submitting it right now speed up the crawling/indexing when i start having my content? or should i just wait to have a minimum of content?

Thanks.

I think all pages and content should be done before submitting any website.

my opioion only.

i dont no if submitting a website that growing as a fully fletch website hurts
google ranking all i do no a full website get ranked quicker.

I would wait, no point in doing anything now.

Thanks for your opinion, I was thinking the same.

I plan to sell some softwares that i'm developing myself, it will probably take month before i have at least 10 software, I'm going to wait to have at least one software and some blog post then.

I would submit your websites to the search engines and get all that google webmaster tools crap done.
It takes a lot of time to index websites, so why not start early?
It also motivates you to get working on those products.

However, i would not put any posts on social websites and such.
You could create accounts to secure good names that match your domain, but just let them sleep until your website is ready.

People will not come flooding in once you submit your website to google and bing and stuff, this takes a lot of time.
People can come to your website by the dozens by some good posts on social websites.
The question is, do you already want that?
If your website is empty, people will leave as soon as they arrive.
And who knows? That first or second visitor could have been a loyal customer.
Now, whenever he sees your link, he will probably not take a look because of a bad first impression.

Long story short, i would get everything ready with the search engines, but wait until your website is ready with the social websites (Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.)

I agree one should submit ASAP

As you have mentioned you will content by next week, so it would be better if you put some pages in action (including about us/privacy policy/contact us and product pages).

But, no harm in submitting site at this points, as indexing will take time. For this you can setup some content on your own (unique/nicheproduct-related, 200-300-400 word) and some other pages that I have mentioned before. This all will hardly take you 1-2 hrs (at max.).

Good luck with your site OP!

Hope this helps :thumb:

It would be advisable to fill it up first with content and products before you submit your website. Don't be in a hurry, it's better to start off right.

Submit your website now, but only start your Web 2.0 submissions as soon as your content is done

Better arrange the site with everything ready and submit the site.it won't look good with just a WordPress theme.:)

Consider this example, you visit a website with no content or 1 post, you will not visit that website again that oh now it might got content. first impression is the last impression. I never start any promotion till I get full ready site for visitors and converting pages and content.
