I'm stuck at this dilemma. I have a two month old Amazon review site for a group of pretty expensive products. The main keyword I'm targeting only has 800 monthly searches but there are 30 product keywords that range from 100-600 monthly searches. The thing is that I have like 4-5 competitors that are in page 1 and 2 for most of the 30 keywords I'm targeting. The strange thing is that they all look like each other with the same type of format and style of writing which is weird. So far, I have only made 1 sale in 2 months with around 230 clicks to my Amazon linked pages. This is after around 40 hours of work writing, rewriting reviews and general articles. I have also spent $200 on it on various things like domain, hosting and SEO. I try to make my reviews different from everyone else's by spending a lot of time on each one to make sure they are factually correct.
My old plan was to keep writing new articles every day and improving my old ones to make my site more appeal but I'm starting to think this path is going to lead me no where. Should I abandon this site and find a new niche with little to no competitors? Any advice is welcome
