Should I stay or should I go?

Back in early December, my site got smacked down by Google - unnatural links.

I did what I've done in the past, move the site to a new domain, 301 the old domain to the new domain and started rebuilding links - using multiple reputable services offered on the BH forums. It's a variety of links - including tons of dripped social signals - so quite varied.

This has worked unerringly before, but this time, it's been over a month and I haven't seem ANY SERP movement from Google at all.

This time, I used a domain that had a very similiar name but was only a few months old - and no PR. I'm now wondering if that was my mistake.

My question is... should I stay or should I go now? Should I keep waiting (and making no new money) or should I move the site to an aged domain with some PR and re-start the building process?

well, it depends on how much money you are loosing right now? If it is big or significant amount, i would try myself with a new aged domain asap

apparently the current domain won't rank good as its been over a month as you say and you used reputable linkbuilding services. Having that in mind it should have shown some serp movement and some good signs by now, don't you think so?

I 100% agree with you bro! We love google but hate them just as much at the same time.

Maybe its time to get a new aged high PR domain.

I'm loosing about $10K a month at this point. Which is fairly significant to me.

That's my thought as well that I should have seen some SERP movement by now... if even minor.

Thanks... I'm definitely leaning that way. The big decision would be whether or not to completely rebuild the site and re-write all of the articles.

Either way it's a decent amount of work.

I think most BHW members have settled into a loathing but hate relationship with Google.

for $10k/mo i wouldn't wait and a second more... 1 month is enough waiting for absolutely zero results

I guess that's true... it's just additional expense to get things going for the new domain unfortunately.

Yes, you should be careful when choosing services. google can be a big buzz kill.

Start a new site and keep the old site around as well. Just in case the old site does start ranking.

If you're losing 10k/mo, there's absolutely no reason to wait.

You can do both by keeping your old site and make a new one while your old site is still banking some and slowly make the
transition. It is never a good idea to make a hasty move in business.
