Should I start my affiliate journey this way?

After few recommendations here on bhw for affiliate marketing after i posted a thread how to make $100 per week; I would love to get some advices about where exactly should I invest my energy...

I have 2 options:

1. I have a shopify site with amazon affiliate links. The niche is ok. Everything looks good. Zero traffic yet...

2. Anything else...

My experience with affiliate marketing isn't so great... I do best running ads and so, but doing backlinks .... That's something I must learn..

So what would you think it will be the best? The Shopify all ready to go site or should I try something new?
Also, do you believe 1-2 months it will be enough to get $100 per week?

For affiliate makerting you need traffic. Paid traffic or organic. So start from there and have a plan. Monetization is easy, problem is traffic. Solve that problem first.

Do you recommend buying backlinks?

1-2 months and $100 a week is possible. Bur not for someone without any experience. Leave aside all the money and focus on creating good content on your affiliate blog first.

I have a site with affiliate amazon products. There is also a blog related with the niche, but for the moment the amazon links are the only source of income...

I ve been in the IM for a couple of years just I was doing more droppshipping.... However, this is my first AM 'try' , but I think I can do it...

If you aren't getting enough traffic that's a pretty clear indicator that something isn't right and that you'll need to change something in your approach, at least. Affiliate marketing goes all around traffic as traffic means more clicks on affiliate links, and more clicks will get you more commissions and higher profit. It's not so about the type of site you'll use, it's more about what will bring you traffic and what won't, backlinks could help you gain more audience on the site and reach more people, so I would suggest starting learning more about this process before you continue your affiliate activities.

Please understand that if you're going to be building backlinks and pointing them all to a Shopify site, you probably are not going to rank as well as you hoped.

That's not how it works.

My suggestion is if you're going with the Shopify site, create informative content that is closely related to the Amazon affiliate products that you are promoting.

For instance, if you are promoting vacuum cleaners, you should publish at least a few dozen cleaning-related informative pages.

What I mean by this is you look for cleaning-related keywords and find questions that are related to those keywords.

Look for questions that people are actively searching online.

When you do this and then you link those pages to your Shopify site, you increase your chances of boosting your Shopify site's rankings on Google.

You have to understand that you have to first build domain authority for your site for it to rank.

You can't just dump all your backlinks onto your Shopify site.

Instead, do it the other way around.

Create informative pages, build backlinks for them, and then internally link to the page that you're actually promoting.

This way, you not only add value to the lives of the people visiting your site but you also are building an impressive backlink profile.
