Hi,

I have a website that I use for dropshipping, in the CSV file, one of the choices I have is to show the stock quantity or not but it shows the quantity my supplier has in stock which can be thousands.

So should I show the stock quantity or not?

I have arguments for and against and cannot make my mind up so that's where you guys and girls come in!

Thanks in advance.

To create a sense of urgency, yes. Humans buy on impulse all the time. There are a lot of plugins available that do exactly this (I'm unsure of the names off the top of my head because I haven't done pure drop shipping in awhile). Even if it's not accurate, honestly who cares lol.

For example, you could have a running timer above a popular product with a text displaying "only 3 left in stock - act now!".

Edit: Just now realizing you may have been asking a slightly different question - my answer was geared towards showing supply to consumers FYI

Yes, it's good to know if a supplier has stock available.

Thanks for your reply, this is something I'm looking at doing in my Newsletters. People who subscribe will get special limited deals.

Thanks, only items that are in stock show up and out of stock items stay hidden.

cmon boy it will just make the store look spammy used to work back in the days but not anymore.

yes, as a customer I always would like to know if that goods are available or not

My store only shows products that are in stock and In Stock appears on the listing, just not the amount at the moment. I just think it looks odd for a new business to be showing 7500 in stock one day then say 700 the next when I hardly have any reviews.
