Howdy fellas,
Say my company was selling military grade rocket launchers. To the average customer wanting to buy a rocket launcher, the military spec is really expensive and not what they are looking for (that being simple home use of rocket launchers).
So of course, my pages have been optimized for "military grade rocket launchers", and luckily, they are ranking for it too. However, I have made one mistake when creating my website a few years ago. I have named the urls ../rocket-launcher/ when I should have used ../military-grade-rocket-launcher/. Because in essence, these two are not the same products at all. Using the exact keyword in the URL is obviously better.
My question is; will it be worth changing these URL's, or is it better to leave them be, now that they are ranking?
