    Hello,

I have a 1+ year old website with good quality content and decent onpage seo, I've tried a lot of SEO techniques and bought a lot of services from various places but my rankings are still not building :(
I'm pretty sure I am not doing it properly. In the top10 results for my niche there isn't a single video, so I think I can create a video and by throwing a few backlinks to it I will be able to rank it. So should I throw backlinks pointing to my video or make a post containing the video in my website and build backlinks for that.
Also can you people suggest me good video ranking services?

Thanks a lot for the answer and this community has given me a lot of things to learn.

yeah, trying with a video is pretty good idea, just make sure to include your keyword in the video title

get some views/likes/subscriptions to it and that will boost your rank better than building backlinks to it. As for the backlinks.. build directly to the video, not to a blog post page containing the video

The video, then embed the video in your post.

So at the end youve got a mix of sh*** links and crap link profile. You better try to rank a video instead.
