Hey mate,
I know how it feels when you got some extra dimes and get confused over making it big or staying with it. I also had did mistake of leaving job, and after some months, everything changed.
Please don't quit your job, untill and unless you are debt free and backup of atleast 2 years apart of living sources.

Things can change anytime, so be prepared with realastic matters, dreaming will not help. Make your income more than your need and save it.

Can you share with me how you are earning $50/day, I am also looking to earn more. :)

Regards,
gr8Jimmy

You might work 16 hrs a day in im ,you only got your self to rely on , it can get very hard .

You font always earn or get your earnings heigher .

Sonetimes first project can earn loads of cash it good luck, it can be a long time till another project get you a income.

Be carefull dont be falled.
True. IM is not for everyone, there is a lot of stress involved. Keep in mind that you must have balance in your life. So relax and enjoy once in a while, spend that money you made.

Don't quit your job man. It's good to have money from multiple sources. Keep it coming!

if i fail, its not difficult for me to get a job.but in my 500$/month job. my company covers everything for me: health care, Social insurance, Unemployment Insurance. if i quit i lost all of that.
i only do IM at night, and because of it, i dont actually have time to take care of my daughter. its tough choice becaust of 25k debt.
after all, i will stick with 2 jobs until i pay half of my debt then make desicion. thank you all. by the way im 34 year old. 10 years expericce as IT technician.

Make a thread when you quit your job, I'd like to see how that worked for you. btw I had the same situation like you back in 2008, I quit my job when I made my first $100

Actually better ask yourself.

I would quit. But not immediately, after 2-4 months. In the next 2-4 months I'll diversify my methods. Let's say you're warning from IG- CPA in adult niche.

I'll use the next 2-4 months to try out other areas so that if one method fails I have back up. Don't forget if you're earning 1500 part time, what you can do when you do earn full time.

All the best. Some might say this is not safe, but who has achieved great without taking any risk??

If you have to ask, don't.
You wouldn't ask if you really should.

Hey can i ask you where are you from? And if i would be making 500$ for 40 hours job and on IM 1,5k i would quit and invest all my time in IM.

Don't quit your job!

Do both for as long as you can then go part time.

Don't take the risk - too stressful until you have a business in place you can rely on.

I wouldn't quit. What if the IM thing fails then what would you do. Keep both things up and make more with both then just one thing. It's good for the long run, also what does IM mean?

For your infomation. My IM come from AdSense, clickbank.

I would say you should not quit your job unless you prepare 2-3 passive earning sources. I did quit my offline job a month before but it was due to some personal issues. Preparing multiple earning sources is very vital when you are not alone and you also have a loan on your head.

My piece of advice will be DON'T. Things won't work well all the time. IM is not stable until you get a track of it.

You got a family now and you need to be in a stable position now.

I am very assertive and i had encountered the same situation a month ago. I made around $2300 in a three day span of time in freelance.

The next thing i thought was quiting my $600/month job and make more $2300's and get settled. But i decided not to quit my job. Atleast it gives you confidence to try new things, scale up, invest or whatever.

Just stay in job and use that money to scale up your IM and when you really think your 9-5 job is no longer in support to you and instead it drags you down then only quit.

When you quit make sure you have enough cash to run atleast 12 months. I hope you got some insight.

No - build it up, make sure your income is diversified, then at that point go and ask your boss for a big raise - i.e double your salary.

If he says no then threaten to leave, if he says yes then you're even better off.

That way you can't lose.

Just be aware that 500$ a month is really worth 1100$/month, if you say they pay everything for you.
So if I were you, I wouldn't quit my job unless I have at least enough money to live 2-3 years. That shouldn't be long, but better be prepared in case everything fall down from a day to day. But like you said, it's easy for you to get a job, so that's no a very big risk either.
The only thing, is that you'll have to be an auto entrepreneur, and that's sometime really complicated at the beginning : paying taxes, health care, declaring some shit etc ...

25K$ to pay in 15 years isn't that much neither, it's 150$ a month, make sure you can pay this + your living for 2 years and you're all set.

150+500 = 650
650*12*2 = 16K$
That's a lot, but you will be much safer with that amount in the bank, even being able to touch yourself all day, if no more money come.

6 months does not a career make.

Don't quit that almost guarantee of a job you have until you are debt free and have a few years of successful IM under your belt.
@hanhcom This is the best advice you can get. 6 months is not enough.

i also make good money form IM during 2 years. but you should not quit your job for now. Try to make money more than 1-2 years if you feel you will continue earn money than you can quit. Its to early now

OP i quit my job as soon as i had maybe $600/m online. I never looked back, and it never felt like wrong decision. But i live alone. I also have debt of around $4k. And you know what? in 3 months i gathered enough money to pay entire debt, because as soon as i quit wasting my time with useless job, my earnings form IM doubled. Next month im closing my debt 1 year before schedule. :)
I know the diffrence - u have fear holding you back , ur wife and daughter are making you think emotionally not rationally . Rationally is perfect decision to work what yields better results.

I prepared some reserve money and never had to touch more than 15% of it. Reserve, pure cash, is what you need for security, not a shitty job. Safety of offline job is just an illusion business owners make, to justify low paycheck, because workers "take no risk". Risks worker take are not materialistic, but investing in relationship with your job and good standing with your boss is ILLUSION. I know it , because i own one offline business too. Risks are everywhere, so stop being afraid, cash is only safety net.

And what do you love doing? Is that a factor? Inner state is something that we men often discard as not relevant. But it is. If you are happy you can be more productive.

If it was me I wouldn't quite till that 25k is cleared off. If you continue your earning streak and improve on it you should be able to clear that debt in a years time, correct ?
