So I'm doing this apprenticeship under IT and its ending in september. I will have my final exam in august and im super burnt out. So im would love some feedback, i am currently working on 2 projects that in themself will secure my living position quite comfortably. They will be ready in 1-2 months. And i have enough cash on hand to be able to live 6-12 months without a job.

The thing about this IT certificate is that i will most likely never have the use fot it, but if i quit the job now i will basicly have wasted 2 years off education. But again i dont want to pursue working in the company im currently employed in.

Im currently 19 and live at my parents paying rent so i wil be able to live there no matter what i choose. And i also have no commitments lile girlfriend or a child. So i could risk it and live the company early.

Hope you gues can give me a feedback and tips❤️

I got Masters degree, never used, but proud of it.
It’s 1.5 month - finish it.

You already wasted 2 years just finish the remaining 2 months. IT is a good skill if you ever need a backup if your main project fails. And it will provide peace of mind for the worst case scenario. I would say $3000/m profit is enough to live on your own. Being that you are 19 with limited income history, getting a place to rent will be difficult unless you get a cosigner

I mean, to be honest, I would. But I also quit school after 1/3 years. Kind of regret it now, but fuck it.

All in or nothing! But that's me though...

You've already wasted 2 years and it will be shame to quit when you need 2 months to get it. Time is the most valuable resource and when you spent so much on something you should finish it otherwise you will regret it later, even if you start to make crazy profits. Imo just take it, you don't know when you'll need to use it for something.
Get it, then leave and crush them with your projects! GL!

2 months is nothing. Especially compared to 2 years. Wait it out.

The question is if it is school thats burning you out...

I have a degree I haven't used since almost 4 years now.

You've reached the end. No good reason for you to quit now. Finish it.

Tip: Post COVID19, you need to realise you shouldn't exploit privileges. Many around don't have any in the first place.

Well i guess your right, i was just feeling down yesterday. I plan on finishing the 2 months off work and doing the final exam. This will also give me time to get my projects done, and get them up and running. Thanks for the tips guys :D

All you really need in this new world is to learn a trade. That's all. Really. Not joking.

I finished my IT Apprenticeship a year ago been working at same place for 2 years now, no progression. Today I am resigning and going to start my journey with IM. But yeah get your certifications, they stick with you for life and reassess your situation once you have completed your Apprenticeship.

Finish it up, 1-2 months are not worth to throw away 2 years of education, even if it is just a piece of paper or whatever. Things dont always go how you plan and its good to keep a backup option.

It's great that everyone has given you good advice. Don't quit now. Even if you end up not needing it you still have invested a lot of your time and effort. And life doesn't always go as planned so either way at the end you'll be glad you did.

Yup finish it. This business can be very up and down and you'll never know if you'll need it.

Are you from Germany by any chance? Sounds like German education system to me :)
