Should I put the year in my Article Title?

I was wondering what the difference is between. the following example Titles

OPTION 1: "How to write perfect articles 2017 "

or

OPTION 2: "How to write perfect articles"

From a SEO stand point, will option 1 rank better then option 2?

If someone searches the keyword "perfect articles" which is most likely to show up higher position?

If you write titles with year means, users can click your title by seeing the year itself. A year is the notation of edition also. It makes the users click titles easily when comparing to normal titles. If anyone types perfect articles, Google shows according to the optimized results. We cannot say which keyword rank better. If keyword competition is low and it has high search volume means, then it will appear.

Yes, but make sure the url does not have the year in it.

It’s good to use numbers and year in headlines. It can catch people’s attention. If a title that gets people to click will also help you rank better.

Placing the year or any other numeric (relevant) in the title surely increases the click-through-rate.

For instance, as suggested by you: How to write perfect articles 2017 or How to write the perfect article in 20 minutes.

depends if you want rankings or clickthrough, because next year it will drop off if you don't update it and do some work.
