Should I only post related content?

I have a website for example called miastips.com.
For now I have been posting gaming tips on that site.
Is it okay to post software tips, app reviews, learning materials?

It's better to create separate blogs. Because concentration of the topic and words will be higher.
In result, in compare to other sites you'll get higher ranking.

Also will be easier to find your blog for guest posting ;)

A niche site would stay on topic. An authority site could go for a bigger umbrella term like tech and have sib categories like you are suggesting. Depends on what you want to do. Both work fine with the right content and SEO.
 
Better not mix them up as you'll find yourself in a difficult state to organize content for all of them. Build solely focused on a micro niche & scaling would be easy:)

Yes, you can do that. Use categories. If you're preparing your website for inclusion on Google News, you can start with 9 categories.
 
I'd suggest at least doing them on specific days so there is some divide between the topics.
 
The topics you mentioned are actually related to gaming. Just fine tune them - e.g., gaming apps, how tos/tutorials for gamers, etc etc
 
Maybe you cna create categories, but you need to make sure your domain name is related to your content
or just set up another blog for software and technology
 
Not a problem in posting software, apps, technology related content by creating separate categories. But don't go out of topics.
 
What's your intention with the website? Are you planning to rank higher SEO-wise for certain keywords? If so, I would recommend sticking to the niche topic and populate your blog with content related to your niche keyword. There are multiple reasons for this:

1. SEO - as explained earlier
2. Brand - by regularly posting on your blog, you've already instilled this distinct image in your audience's mind. You start deviating from your niche, the audience will be confused as to what to expect from the blog.

If you can't keep up writing on your blog, considering hiring freelancers (you get affordable freelance writers on sites like narrato.io, textbroker, etc)
 
I don’t see why not. As long as you stick to a general topic, your website won’t suffer. However, make sure you use categories and tags. Also, add links to the categories to your homepage (e.g. in the main menu) to make things easier for your visitors.
