Should I No-Index all poor content in my site?

There're some articles in my site that are under 500 words, and of course, they won't rank. I'm just adding them to let people engage and love the site, so they can return ... etc.

Should I no-index them? until I'll update them and add more words?

Is that the right way in this situation?

There is no need to no-index if you plan to update those articles.
