Should I install Google Analytics?

Hi,

I been wondering at this times is it important to install google analytics I have a blog and I'm doing some SEO work on IT and I'm not sure if I shoulld install GA or not any insights?

Are you getting traffic outside of Google search? Are you running ads? Are you selling something on your site? Are you collecting leads? If thr answer is yes then install GA.
These are the reasons you should install GA or similar analytics tracking.
 
there are many analytics tools out there, you don't have to use GA specifically, just use something to get intel on your site promotion
 
Yes, install Google analytics. It helps to track visitors, see what content works, and improve your SEO strategy.
 
It will help to improve your URL indexing on GSC.

You should install Google Analytics, it's still very useful.

Even in 2025, GA helps you:

- Track traffic sources (SEO, social, direct, etc.)
- Understand user behavior (bounce rate, time on page)
- See what content performs best
Spot SEO issues early (traffic drops, bad pages)

Even if you prefer privacy-focused tools later, GA is still a solid, free starting point for bloggers

How does that work?

Personally, I hate GA4 to a level very few people have reached. I use it sometimes, but mostly as a way to create audiences for Google Ads.
For any other purpose I use Yandex, which I think is superior.

yes, and then definitely spend time on the dashboard in Google analytics to fully understand all the ins and outs of it.
