May specify a REASON? Honestly, if I was a HR and someone told me they did marketing in porn industry I would ask questions to see how he markets his stuff.

The industry might be wrong, but the mentality might NOT be.If he knows how to market porn blog posts, why he wouldn't political blog posts for example???

All you need to say, is you work with online video websites, and if they ask for any further info, then you would say adult.
But it would have to be a pretty thick skinned manager who would hire someone who had those credentials.

Why won't you just list the skills you have rather than the industry you've been working at? Porn would scare any employer or university administration.. Try to communicate that you were working with SEO or performance marketing, etc., and even if you get interviewed - better to avoid such topic..
You won't have a chance to make second first impression :)
 
Its all about how you word it. You could easily say you're an arthouse curator or something along those lines.
