Will this accelerate the indexing process, or is it a waste of my time?

I use pingler.com. Nice service, but lots of typing involved. Is there a way to automate pinging?

RSS Submit 4.0. Use search. Also, you should ping posts rather than comments IMO.

Never ping your comments. It is completely unnecessary. You could use that time to get more links. Google will find them all eventually.

No need to ping the comments, google will eventually find it. Why do you want to forcefeed google and they end up finding a ton of comments immediately and then like..."hmmm is this guy spamming, wait lemme check the domain...oh unnatural links" and there goes your domain flushed out of search results by /Matt Cutts/
