Hello

I have a website bringing in decent kind of money - w about 50% coming from Google via my link building stregedies. Now I calculated that I spent between $2,000 - $3,000 on black hat SEO tequniues (link building) so I was wondering wouldn't it be better to spend that kind of money on building content and things like that so links come in naturally? I mean you could do a lot of stuff w $2,000...

Note: I'm still pulling a profit w link building question is which one is more effective..

That's what Googliath and Matt C!@# would have you believe. I think you need to do more sweat equity rather than just buy services and yes content does matter. Your best approach will always be a mix of black and white hat techniques and the formula varies from keyword, to customer base and your time frame.

No matter what type of linkbuilding you are/have been doing you should still be building quality content as often as possible if you care about your site.

I used Pick Your Backlinks 2 weeks ago and they've given me better results than my current blackhat techniques, are more coste effective & completely white hat. My collegue at work told me about them and they've lived up to there reputation already - if you haven't used them yet Tim, give them ago and let me know your outcome/results etc.

black hat n white hat twice are important. first do white hat seo then do black hat properly. black hat technique are used in proper manner and in limit because excess of using black hat technique are dangerous...

Guy you have spent a lot of money on black hat if you have spent this much on white hat and building links manually then you can earn more than you spend.

Technically there's no such thing as white hat SEO if you're building your own links, only when links come to your naturally could it be considered white hat. Writing good quality content is ALWAYS a good idea, it will generate natural backlinks, get your visitors involved in your site, they will enjoy and share it, it's win win. So YES write good quality and unique content but don't just do that and expect your traffic to continue, you need to link build as well just in a way that LOOKS natural and white hat.

The sad fact is that you need to promote your website somehow, because someone has to see your site before it can show it to others. That is why I believe it's good to add some backlinks at the beginning and become 100% white hat when natural links come in.
