Should i go for quantity or quality ?

me and my friends are starting a blog and we're dividing the work, so the SEO department falls in my hand :D, i just wanna ask that does quantity always wins over quality backlinks, or quality helps in the long run ?

what i plan to do is

blog commenting
video promotion
guest posting
directory submission


nothing too blackhat :) if anyone can give me suggestion lemme know thanks ;)

agree with Roadhamster, Quality backlinks in good quantity and you are good to go. a bit difficult though. but dedication will help.
 
Forget those web directories
only post on releant ones

Quality on 1st tier
then you can use quantity for other tiers
Make sure your links are diversified
also your anchor texts should be mixed

If your building an authority site
Dont keyword stuff

i really dont know about what does 1st,2nd,3rd tier links means, is there any good tuts here i wasnt able to find it

Just like others said, you should go for both ;)
 
Your first priority should be quality and then quantity...you dont want your site to be slapped by google

Hi,

1st, 2nd and 3rd their means:

<==>: means backlinks

Your Money sites <== tier 1 backlinks <== tier 2 backlinks <== tier 3 backlinks <== tier 4 backlinks

So basically, you are blasting backlinks to your backlinks, and yea pass some juice as well.

Hey man,

If you are interested in tiered building, you should check Matthew woodward blogs, he is also a reputatble members here. He is the man in this.

Don't worry i am not lucky enough to have any blog like his, so i am not promoting my own blogs. ;)

Like many others said - both.

Build quality content with links and then link to tem with content of lesser quality but in bigger numbers. With tiering you make sure your site doesn't tank when Google makes another algo change.
 
In SEO if you want to get the best result, you should get the quality and quantity together. You should not avoid any kind of SEO work and need to be patience. Because SEO is a continuous process and you will get results gradually.

But you can't handle all kind of SEO with yourself; find some SEO workers for specific fields.

hay quality is always preferred on quantity but in this competitive era both should be together for great success.
 
I think auwal gave you the best advice: do both and be persistent about it.
Results will come in time, not tomorrow.
 
T1 you need best quality.
T2 quality+ quantity
t3 you need only quantity
every step need different things
 
for me you should go for quality if you are posting only one or two quality posts you are doing enough..
