Should i give up on this domain? i use to have my main keyword on the 4th place of the first page and now is no where to be found except on the 97th place but in my http://mysite.com/blog when it use to be on the 4th place of the first page with http://mysite.com another thing is that my domain name matched my main keyword what should i do? buy another domain or keep on working on that domain its been about 3 weeks now since i was kik out of the first page???

Just wait at least one month. You will get it. Otherwise give up

don't give up, the SERPs can be crappy at times and with all the new updates the big G's been releasing have caused massive issues with tonnes of peoples sites.. just keep putting quality content and building quality links and you'll see your site push back up the rankings in a couple of days...

Note the use of the Quality in the above.. if you're not interested in doing quality work, well then yeah you're better off giving up :)

I also have a domain that has been booted back in the SERPs for some reason. I contacted google and they said that there was no manual review done on the site. They just said that it "may" have triggered something in the algorithm but the never said what it was... they never do. It's been stuck there for months now. I haven't added any new content but i continue to build backlinks.

What have you been doing during 3 weeks ? don't wait add some new contents.

Don't add any more links. Just wait. it may come back, then go again but it should remain back after a few months.

Ahh..isn't this that damn Google's dance? It kills me sometimes..
And don't give up, put your ass back to work and see if there are any progresses over time. In case you still do some seo and work on it, and results doesn't appear, let it go for a period, and check it again. But for now, don't let it go!

Such a bummer. I really don't know what i did wrong. You put work into the site and try to play by the rules and you get punished. I had purchased an aged domain so I was thinking it may have had some sort of a shitty past.

A lot of website was droped this period on SERP. My money site was droped over 6 pages!!! but if you think to give up, you will never success. I just advice you to diversity your strategies of promoting, invest more, study and work. That i do, and now i see some result, but like you, i hope for great results. Remember, if IM will too easy, everyone will be millionaire...

Depends on the potential of your site. If it's just a small niche site, then forget about it and move on. But if there is potential for a decent earning, then keep building content and high value backlinks.

take up a side project if your getting frustrated, wait and see what happens.

There's always more that you could do, so review what your competition has in place and then create a plan to beat them.
